Old Modern Handicrafts 1973 Mad Max V8 Interceptor Model (30L x 6W x 6H) – Handmade Nautical Décor Gift

This is an iconic car from the movie Mad Max (1979). Mad Max takes place in a dystopian future in Australia. In this future, oil, one of the most precious resource, has been depleted and the world is at war with each other. The movie had a budget of $300,000 made $100 million, in today’s money the budget was about 1 million dollars and made about $322 million today. This was only from the first movie out of three total Mad Max movies. This model is the V8 Interceptor, also known as the Pursuit Special. This car is Max’s, the man character, car. The base of the car is a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe. The car is also a right hand drive car since the movie was filmed and based in Australia which is what our model follows. Our model nearly replicates the movie version nearly 100 percent. We modeled it all from headlight grilles and bug catcher blower to roof spoiler and “Maintain Right” badging. The model is about 11 inches long and 4 inches wide, a 1:17 scale.
