Lambretta Special-SX: History, Models and Documentation

The series of monographic books devoted to the Lambretta has been expanded with a new title focusing on the Special and SX models, the new generation of the popular Italian scooter presented in 1963. The book covers the entire history and evolution of the S-SX models and, in particular, several of the prototypes that never went into production, including the two truly innovative and well-known Lambretta twin-cylinder models. Particular attention is also paid to the 200 SX which, with its above-average performance, became the undisputed queen of the European scooter scene: fast, powerful and elegant, it was particularly popular in Great Britain. For this reason, the book includes an in-depth look at the Anglo-Saxon scooter world and the success of the SX series in that country. There are also specific chapters on the communication strategy implemented by the Innocenti company to promote the new product, as well as a series of curiosities such as the hovercraft assembled with two Lambretta 200 SX engines.
